GMG Airlines, the largest private commercial carrier of Bangladesh, recently became a customer of Evinta IBE. Evinta Internet Booking Engine designed and developed by John Keells Computer Services Sri Lanka, Which has been a leader in the aviation software space for the last decade.

The contract was entered into at the head office of GMG Airlines in Dhaka, with the participation of Mr. Subhra Kanti Sen Sarma (General Manager – Reservations), Mr. Tarique Saleh Mahmud (Deputy General Manager IT), Mr. Asif Ahmed (Head of Marketing), Mr. Shameem Parvez (Manager Pricing), and Mr. Orlando Lobo (Head of Revenue Management) from GMG Airlines, and Mr. Harendra Samarasinghe (BU head - Airline systems) and Mr. Rukshan Salgado (Product Manager ), representing John Keells Computer Services.

At the time of entering into agreement with JKCS, Mr. Orlando Lobo, Head of Revenue Management at GMG Airlines stated that, “In accordance with our new plans for expansion we believe that this alliance with JKCS will prove to be a rewarding venture. It will be a journey taken together towards greater challenges in this dynamic and competitive airline industry".

Expressing his views on the next steps, the Head of Software Products at JKCS Mr. Sathi Sivasithamparam mentioned that “JKCS is proud to serve GMG airlines as a software solutions provider. Our roadmap for Evinta Aviation solutions will certainly pave the way to support the aggressive growth of GMG airlines as a full service carrier in this competitive market.
