The Evinta Team recently initiated a Drought Relief Project in collaboration with the Disaster Recovery Management Centre - Sri Lanka, to provide water tanks to villages in the Polonnaruwa area, which were hit by the severe drought conditions prevailing in the country. Together with the generous contributions by the staff of JKCS, Evinta donated 6 "Arpico Aqua Tough" Water tanks to the people of Pulathisipura, who were suffering due to the lack of water even for drinking purposes. The tanks were distributed by the Disaster Management Centre in collaboration with the District Secretariat - Polonnaruwa.
John Keells Foundation conducted an HIV awareness program on the 24th of November 2009 at the JKCS cafeteria. Titled “Know About HIV/AIDS, Add Value To Life” the awareness project was conducted by facilitators from Cinnamon Lakeside. This program was organized in lieu of World AIDS Day which fell on 1st December 2009.
